In Search of Making a Movie…

I looked through my bedroom window to see Marshall and Brooks out in the backyard making a movie on Brooks’ new camera.  Took this shot looking through a mirror.

In Search of 2011 Top Ten Photos…

I started this photo blog earlier this year during the big ice storm we had back in February.  Some of my photographic goals for 2011 were to incorporate more manipulated light and to take more portraits.  These are my Top Ten photos for the year in chronological order, except for the last one, which was my favorite.  This first photo was taken of the Dallas skyline the night before the Super Bowl here in Arlington.

This was a bridal session of Julie’s cousin Erin shot at The Ashton in downtown Fort Worth.

I went to a mountain bike race over at Big Cedar while my leg was hurt back in May.

This is actually two photographs layered over each other to get the two different firework bursts.  I used a 14mm wide angle to include both the church and fireworks.

First time to rent some Profoto location lights…and immediately fell in love with them!

I love this shot of Julie and the colors here…still need to get this one blown up for my office.

Marshall’s good friend Zach, with a little Photoshop for effect.

I think this might make the perfect Christmas card next year.

Took this one trying out my new tripod on a very cold morning at Cadillac Ranch outside of Amarillo.  This was a five frame HDR shot.

And my favorite shot of the year…little Preston!

In Search of Cadillac Ranch…

My dad and I went out early one morning during our family Christmas vacation to visit Cadillac Ranch…very, very cold!

In Search of a Shooting Gallery…

Russ and I took Marshall and Luke out to the Canadian River for their first experience in shooting guns.  We had a great time shooting an LWRC M6 5.56, Mac 12 .380, SKS 7.62, XD .40, S&W .22, Remmington 1187 12 ga. and another shotgun and I can’t write about.

In Search of Christmas

We were blessed with a white Christmas this year!  My parents’ backyard…
